Hello, readers, and Happy Holidays to all of you. I hope you are finding time to spend with the ones you love and are spreading a bit of joy wherever you are able. In my newest book, Finding Salvadora, which will be published in February, Eleanor Roosevelt reminds us, “Do not stop thinking of life as an adventure.” When you include others on your journey, it’s much more satisfying and it makes the world a better place.
I’ve been busy with lots of projects this December, some of which involve my friends and family, and many of which involve my books. My publisher, Archway Publishing, just made a couple of lovely short videos that feature the first book in the Inherited Treasures series, Becoming Hazel. You may see the videos popping up on YouTube or Vimeo, but I thought I’d give you a sneak peek right here.
And speaking of videos, we also had a team that included a screenwriter produce another short video. It will be included in a campaign we’re running on the giant billboards in Times Square on Christmas. It also features the cover of Becoming Hazel and other graphics, including my headshot. I guess that’s one way to get to Broadway! You’ll find a link to see what it looks like on my website at DorrieParsonsAuthor.com.
Finally, we shot an Author on Location video which I hope to be able to share with you sometime early next year. It’s designed to help people get to know why I wrote the books, to show some of the actual “Inherited Treasures”, and to see me in my natural environment as a writer.
