Hello, Readers! I am thrilled to announce that the first book in the Inherited Treasures Series, Becoming Hazel, has just been announced as a winner of an Author Shout Recommended Read Award.
I know that many of you have read all four of the published books in the series – Becoming Hazel, Saints & Deceivers, Hoofers & Hooch, and Gangsters & Reels – and are waiting impatiently for me to finally publish the fifth book in the series, Finding Salvadora. But the way books are noticed by readers, reviewers and industry professionals isn’t always linear. I’m just finding this out myself.
The other interesting thing about my journey as an author is that it has been rather rapid. I only began writing about two years ago, and this second edition of Becoming Hazel was only published in August of 2025. Check out my website at DorrieParsonsAuthor.com for a little more information.
